About All My Friends are Flowers

Hello there, I'm Lacey.  I write about the garden because there is nothing I love more than the feeling of dirt, unless its a chartpack architecture marker. I've been a gardener since childhood and have become a landscape designer through study.

Some of my earliest memories include being in the garden with my mom. But my love for the garden grew into a passion as I spent my high school years working at the most beautiful garden center in town. From there I went on to certify as a Utah Nursery Professional and graduate with my bachelor's degree in Landscape Management from Brigham Young University.

I am a high school floral & landscape design teacher and a freelance landscape designer. I never thought I'd find employment in the field I love here in Utah. I'm lucky to be in love with what I do.

My design style is influenced by Frank Sinatra, antique stores, and Roger's Gardens in Carona del Mar, California. I'm inspired the most by travel and spending a summer living in Europe with my husband.  Walking through the gardens of Hellbrun, Alcazar, and the Gibrafalo changed my design style {and my life} forever.
